My first encounter with photography was in the dark room of my high school and I was instantly hooked! I remember forcing each of my friends and family to pose for various pictures and crawling in old barns and warehouses to get a creative shot. Those few moments it took for the image to appear on paper seemed like an eternity; I could barely wait to see it!
After high school, I attended Liberty University where my heart called me to ministry. I spent the next five years building a successful youth ministry at a local church. When I fell in love with Jeff it made perfect sense for us to work together building a photography business. I love telling stories and allowing people to relive such cherished memories through photography that will be forever remembered.
When I’m not behind a camera or computer screen, I love to read and write, travel with Jeff, and try new things. I am a people person and I can’t wait to meet you!
I was just a little boy when Gramps handed me my first camera. It only took one press of a button for me to be instantly infused with a passion for photography; a word I didn’t even know how to pronounce at the time. Now, years later I hold a BFA in Photography from Savannah College of Art and Design and a continually growing love for capturing images that will be forever remembered.
After college, I interned and assisted for top professional photographers, married my beautiful bride, Jenilee, and started a photography business of my own. When I’m not on a shoot you can find me holding hands with Jen, coaching baseball, or watching sports.
I was mesmerized with that first photo shot with Gramps’ camera; how I could capture a moment in time and literally keep it forever. I want you to be mesmerized too. Whether it’s that long-awaited senior year in high school or the day you pledge your life to your other half, I want our photos to allow you to relive those moments. We want to give you something that truly lasts a lifetime.

We’re married! We know weddings because we’ve been there. We remember all of the stresses and joys of planning the most important day of life. We know your reservations and concerns, and we care. We want to help you tell the entire story of your magical day, catching all the intricate details along the way. The best part? There’s two of us, so we won’t miss anything!
We give you the photos; all of them! That’s right. You don’t have to order hundreds of dollars of prints in order to receive the photos we shoot. After editing your session, we’ll give you a disc of all of the high-resolution images. Then you are free to print the pictures however you wish or just flood Twitter, Facebook or WordPress with them. There’s no hidden fees or fine print.
This is our job. It’s not a hobby that we’re still perfecting or a job we’re doing on the side. We haven’t been self-taught but are both WPPI certified. This is what we devote our time too. We won’t be hard to reach, because we’re always available to you!
You can trust us. Our faith is important to us and with that comes high moral values. You can count on honesty and integrity from us. Jeff Mullikin Photography Studio is located in the historic Crossroads Art District of Kansas City. The studio boasts vaulted ceilings, exposed brick, and polished hardwood floors, making it the ideal place for your next in-studio shoot! The studio also backs up to the Crossroads concert venue and is just walking distance from a variety of unique backgrounds and scenes in downtown Kansas City. Be sure to stop by on the first Friday of each month for new promotions from 6-9pm.
